HOUSTON – Authorities are trying to figure out what led up to a deadly shooting in northwest Houston on Tuesday morning.

Details are limited, as it’s an active investigation, but based on preliminary information from METRO PD, it happened just before 9:30 a.m.
Police said an unidentified man was attacking a bus driver and then left. That’s when an unidentified woman, who officials said was “not involved in the initial altercation,” followed behind before shooting him.
Houston Police and Metro Police are currently investigating after a deadly shooting in NW Houston on Antoine near Pinemont.

Police say a male passenger attacked a Metro bus driver, then a woman fatally shot the passenger.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The bus driver, meanwhile, suffered minor injuries and was taken off shift for the rest of the day.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
“METRO remains fully committed to the safety of our riders, employees, and the community we serve,” officials shared in a press statement. “We take all incidents involving violence seriously and continue to work closely with law enforcement partners to ensure the well-being of everyone on and around our system.”
