Coincidentally, Houston the Astros have a game on 713 Day this year, so why not take advantage of this opportunity to wear your favorite H-Town clothes and cheer on Houston’s favorite baseball team? Nothing screams 713 Day more than an Astros game.
Meow Wolf and Saint Arnold are teaming up this year to celebrate 713 Day by hosting a block party complete with events, food, music, art, and performances! The event will take place from noon to 4 PM on July 13. Tickets are not required for the outdoor event, but if you want to purchase a ticket to Meow Wolf’s complete exhibit, click here.
Latin Restaurant Weeks, happening from July 11-25, will feature over 30 restaurants and food trucks for attendees to choose from. These restaurants will offer special menus and deals for attendees, offering lots of opportunities to try new dishes. This culinary event will celebrate the influence and flavor that Latin cuisine has infused into Houston’s cultural landscape. A few of the restaurants involved include Mamajuana Cafe, The Lymbar, Fonda Santa Rosa, El Meson, Gaspachos, and many more!
Axelrad is going all out for 713 Day, featuring an itinerary complete with a live DJ, food trucks, a car show, and live art. The event will take place on July 13 and last from 5 PM to 11 PM.
Houston is known for having a rapidly growing comedy scene. This 713 Day, visit Punch Line to see some of Houston’s finest hometown comedians perform.
River Oaks Theatre Presents 713 Day
Hosted by Dj Kiotti from 93.7 The Beat, this event will feature a live music performance by international Hip-Hop Violinist Josh Vietti, tributes to Houston’s Hip-Hop Scene, and food and beverages!
This 713 Day, the Houston Zoo is celebrating by offering some pretty significant discounts, with general admission on Sunday being only $7.13, compared to the $25 to $30 tickets adults usually have to pay.
Heights Bier Garten Summer Bash
The Heights Bier Garten Summer Bash will take place the day before 713, on July 12 at 3 PM - offering the perfect warm-up for Sunday’s festivities! The event will feature beer pong, a photobooth, best dressed contests, food trucks, drink specials, and an NBA jam arcade.
713 Day at Bayou & Bottle will be equally parts fun and delicious. Chef Gaby Jimenez’ famous Wagyu Beef Hot with French Fries will be offered, along with locally-brewed draft beer.
Houston Food Bank 713 Day Shift
This 713 Day, celebrate by giving back to the Houston community and volunteering at the Food Bank! Houston’s Food Bank is having a “713 Day” shift this year from 1 PM to 4 PM. The first three and a half hours will function as a normal Food Bank shift, with the last thirty minutes being a celebration of Houston’s community and culture.
Houston Children’s Museum Dino Party
Happening on July 13 from 9 AM to 6 PM, the Houston Children’s Museum is hosting a “Dino Party,” including fun interactive activities for children and families. The event will also include a preview of Jurassic Quest’s live show that is coming to the NRG Center in August.
Karbach Brewing Company 713 Day Concert
Featuring a live performance from Houston rapper Lil’ Flip, the Karbach Brewing Company will include glassware for sale, food and drinks, and performances from other local artists.
Christian’s Tailgate 713 Day Special
If you don’t want to attend the 713 Day Astros game in person, consider watching it at Christian’s Tailgate, with inexpensive drink specials and nostalgic game-day foods.
