Flash flood advisory issued for Kerr County, minor flooding expected

KERR COUNTY, Texas – Rainfall near the areas affected by the devastating Guadalupe River flood has caused a flash flood advisory to be issued.

The advisory for Kerr and Gillespie County is until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the advisory, minor flooding is possible in low-lying areas and areas of poor drainage. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to one inch are expected and the additional rainfall will result in minor flooding.

Locations impacted will be Ingram, Hunt, Kerr Wildlife Management Area, Mountain Home, Waltonia and Harper.
