It happened a little after 10:15 p.m. when Lt. Horelica with the Houston Police Department said officers were called to an apartment complex on Seminar Drive in the Greenspoint area.

Responding officers found an unidentified man shot in the arm and back. He was rushed to a local hospital, where Lt. Horelica said he succumbed to his injuries.

Police were able to set up a perimeter after two people with the shooter remained at the scene and learned he had fled into an apartment nearby. However, by the time investigators got inside the home, they found he’d left the AR-15 behind after he had used it in the deadly shooting.
