HOUSTON – One person was killed at a large car meet in Northeast Houston.
It happened in an industrial parking lot on North Loop East near North McCarty Street just after midnight Sunday.

Police said a driver was doing donuts when one of the spectators fell and was run over.
“The person got stuck underneath the vehicle. The vehicle stuck around for a little bit,” said Sgt. Ramirez.
They said the driver helped free the victim, but then sped off in a maroon Dodge Charger, when noticing the victim was unconscious.
The victim died at the scene.
Police were searching for the driver.
Investigators obtained cell phone video and suspect information from witnesses at the scene.
