A flash flood warning is in effect for Ingram, just north of Kerrville, until 6:30 p.m.
Residents and visitors are urged to evacuate the area immediately due to rapidly rising waters.
The National Weather Service issued the warning at 3:17 p.m., cautioning that tributaries of the Guadalupe River north of Ingram and Kerrville are expected to experience a rapid rise. Forecasters say this surge could add up to two feet of additional water along the Guadalupe River from Ingram to just downstream of Kerrville.
