ATASCOCITA, Texas – Authorities are trying to piece together what led up to a teenage boy getting shot to death in NE Harris County on the Fourth of July overnight hours.

Details are limited due to the active nature of the investigation. According to Lt. Alanis with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at a home on Gianna Springs in Atascocita sometime after midnight.
Deputies said they found an unidentified 14-year-old boy dead from a gunshot wound in his upper torso, but it’s unclear how it all happened.
We’re told several firearms were recovered inside the home, and two siblings (12 and 17-years-old) were also there when everything went down.

Currently, homicide investigators are trying to create a timeline of events and figure out who actually fired the gun.
