Authorities have a second man behind bars facing murder charges for fatally shooting another man in a parking garage just blocks from the Galleria earlier this month.

Justin Guzman, 22, turned himself in to police Monday and is the second person to be arrested and appeared in Probable Cause Court overnight. The court alleged that Guzman fired 10 shots in the Galleria Mall parking garage, killing Anthony Sanders, 30.

The judge said Guzman had previous run-ins with Sanders as well.

His arrest comes after Marko Cinan’s 23, who investigators say was also charged with murder in Sanders’ shooting death.

Authorities say Cinan was taken into custody on June 25 by officers with the Houston Police Department’s Narcotics Tactical Team. He remains in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $1 million.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on June 3 in a parking garage located at 5015 Westheimer Road.

According to Houston police, officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Sanders suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators they saw a black Chrysler 300 with shattered windows fleeing the scene. The vehicle was later found nearby. Three men inside were detained, questioned, and released.

Following further investigation, detectives identified one of them as Cinan. Guzman is currently being held on a $750,000 bond.
