Houston – A man was charged with a DWI after reportedly ramming his vehicle into a tree and fleeing the scene in Harris County on Monday, according to Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office.
Witnesses saw the alleged hit-and-and run in the 22000 block of Keystone Trail in northwest Houston.

When deputies arrived at the scene a few blocks away, they found the abandoned vehicle with significant front-end damage and a detached front license plate.
Once they found the suspected driver, deputies noticed signs of intoxication. The driver failed a series of sobriety tests, and was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was booked at the Harris County Jail.
There is no further information about the suspect or the incident at this time.
