According to the FTC, Epic Games unlawfully charged players for in-game items and currency, allowed children to rack up unauthorized charges without parental consent, and even blocked some users who disputed wrongful charges from accessing their purchased content. As part of the settlement, Epic must now obtain positive consent before charging users and is banned from locking players out of their accounts for disputing charges.
