Man out on bond for murder arrested with almost 10 ounces of marijuana

A Houston man who was out on bond while facing a murder charge has been arrested for possession of nearly 10 ounces of marijuana.

On June 25, deputies with Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 10000 block of Bammel N Houston.

During the stop, the driver, identified as Jeremiah Mireles, was found to be in possession of approximately 9.98 ounces of marijuana. Shockingly, authorities discovered Mireles was already out on a $50,000 bond for murder.

The vehicle’s passenger, Nicolas Morgan, was found in possession of approximately 9.72 grams of Xanax.

The two men were both arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Mireles was charged with possession of marijuana and is awaiting bond. Morgan was charged with possession of a controlled substance and received a $100 bond out of County Court 5.

In addition to the charges, $1,285 was seized due to its suspected connection to narcotics activity.
