Deputies searching for blue Volkswagen after June 10 Fresno shooting

A man was fatally shot on June 10 in Fresno, Fort Bend County, and deputies are now looking for the suspect’s vehicle, a blue Volkswagen Jetta with a Marine Corps emblem on its Texas license plate.

Deputies were called to the scene around 11:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of FM 521, where they found 31-year-old Benjamin Flores suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said the deadly shooting happened during an altercation involving at least two people, though the exact circumstances remain under investigation.

Surveillance video in the area captured a blue 2011 Volkswagen Jetta believed to be connected to the case. The vehicle has a Texas license plate and a Marine Corps Veteran’s Emblem on the left side of the plate.

The sheriff’s office is now asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle and identifying the person responsible.
