There, law enforcement responded to reports of a man, James Scott Grigory, 38, who barricaded himself inside a residence and allegedly shot a responding Leon County deputy, once in the face and once in the arm. Once the standoff concluded, authorities found two men dead at the scene, along with a deceased dog.

Preliminary information from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office suggests all three individuals—2 found dead in Leon County—lived together at the Hillbrook Drive address. Officials believe they were a family: a husband, wife (the woman found in Harris County), and their adult son, James S. Grigory.
