In fact, our KPRC 2 Weather Team is tracking a 20% chance for isolated thunderstorms for some, not all, in the afternoon into the evening. Nothing too dramatic, but enough that you’ll need to use your windshield wipers today.

The reason rain chances increase is due to high pressure moving east away from Texas. Without the high pressure, there will be no sinking air to dry out the atmosphere. Instead, a return of moisture from the Gulf moves in.
