HOUSTON – An apartment fire in southwest Houston Friday morning destroyed part of the building’s roof.

Details as to how everything unfolded due to how active the investigation is, but it happened a little after 6 a.m. at a complex on Sandpiper Drive near Fondren Road and West Airport Boulevard.
PIO is en route to a two-alarm fire that was dispatched around 6 am at an apartment complex at 12500 Sandpiper in southwest Houston.

No injuries were reported, as of this writing, but the flames were extinguished some time after 6:30 a.m.
