According to Airbnb, the deal aims to unlock new economic opportunities, support the host cities and offer fans new ways to experience the World Cup.
Airbnb has also established a 2026 Host City Impact Program, which will involve collaborating with host cities, including Houston, to allocate $5 million in funding to select projects that foster economic growth.
During the tournament, Airbnb said its hosts are expected to house around 31,000 guests.
The partnership will also include behind-the-scenes opportunities hosted by players in the World Cup, Airbnb confirmed.
Across all 16 host cities, Airbnb stays during the 2026 World Cup are expected to contribute $3.6 billion to host city economies, with hosts potentially earning up to $210 million collectively.
