Where Houston families can still find help after Uplift Harris funding shift

HOUSTON – While Harris County leaders continue to debate how best to support struggling families, one thing hasn’t changed: thousands of residents are still searching for help.

Now that funds from the Uplift Harris program have been redirected to other initiatives, many of the 80,000-plus applicants left without assistance are turning to local nonprofits for food, housing support, and financial relief.
