If you’ve been to Jersey Mike’s Subs, chances are you’ve been faced with the question of whether or not you’d like your sandwich prepared “Mike’s Way.”

After the sandwich gets dressed in its other toppings, customers who dare to go Mike’s Way get a signature blend of red wine vinegar, olive oil and spices, taking any sub to another level in terms of flavor.

The concoction has made Jersey Mike’s a household name among fast-casual sub enjoyers, but a recent TikTok trend has poked fun at the awkwardness of requesting your sandwich to be made Mike’s Way.

What started as a simple gag quickly turned into a full-blown trend, with jokesters changing the terminology entirely.

A few of my personal favorites include:

“Could we also get Michael involved?”

“Can you tell Mike the floor is his?”

“I’m gonna relinquish full custody of this sub to Michael.”

“Tell Mike to do whatever it takes.”

“Let’s get Mike up and moving around.”

“Tell Mike we’re cleared for takeoff.”
