The man who was found guilty of murdering a Harris County peace officer has been sentenced to death.
Oscar Rosales, 55, was found guilty of killing Precinct 5 Corporal Charles Galloway during a traffic stop in Jan. 2022.
Rosales was captured in Mexico on Jan. 26, 2022, three days after the shooting.
Earlier this month, Rosales was found guilty of capital murder.
Known as “Chuck” among family and friends, Galloway, 47, was a 12-year veteran with Precinct 5. A gas station clerk who’d known him since 2011 also testified, saying the two developed a friendship—and that Galloway would often help people at the station.
