HOUSTON – Two men have been arrested for suspected involvement in a fatal shooting that caused a lockdown at Texas Southern University.
Abraham Jackson, 31, has been charged with murder, and Randy DeWayne Masters, 22, is charged with tampering with evidence.

The shooting happened in the 2900 block of Rosewood Street at around 3:30 p.m. on April 9.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area and then observed two men, approximately 20 to 25 years old, running in an unknown direction.
The shooting happened near TSU, causing the campus to go into lockdown for nearly two hours. An “all clear” message was reported, and the lockdown was lifted at 4:20 p.m.
Gregory Warren, 18, was found unresponsive, sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray sedan. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Further investigation identified Jackson and Masters as being involved in the murder. Masters was arrested on April 25, and Jackson was arrested on June 6.
