HOUSTON – Houston Police are at the scene of a fatal shooting on the northeast side of town Monday.

HPD said it happened in the 3100 block of E. Crosstimbers Street just after 4 p.m.
Police say a man was in a car with four other people that was driving down Crosstimbers when an argument broke out inside the car.
The car ended up stopping and the man and another man got out of the car and continued arguing. At one point, gunshots were fired and the victim, an 18-year-old man, was killed.

Prelim info is a male was shot during an altercation with an unknown male just after 4 p.m. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.

The suspect then got back in the car and fled south on nearby Curry Road.
Three women who were also in the car stayed at the scene and are talking to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
