HOUSTON – Following violent protests against immigration agents in Los Angeles, hundreds of protestors in Houston held a peaceful march on Sunday afternoon against the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

Protestors held up signs like “no one is illegal in stolen land” and flags of countries like Mexico and Palestine.
"It is very heartbreaking to see other families being taken away from their homes," said protestor Hilary Roman.
According to the White House in April, more than 139,000 illegal immigrants have been deported since President Trump took office.
Krozz Rodriguez said the immigration issue is a personal one.
“My dad was deported in the last Trump presidency,” said Rodriguez. “Under 24 hours, he was already deported from being detained over an EZ tag.”
Rodriguez said her father has not been able to make it back to the states since being deported.
“I‘m fighting for us all and I know he’d be proud of me to see me here today protesting," said Rodriguez.
Houston protestors marched from Ervan Chew Park to Hermann Park on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the protests in Los Angeles prompted President Trump to deploy more than 2,000 National Guard members.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement posted about the LA protests on the platform X, stating that “Anti-ICE rioters left a trail of destruction.”
