Teens caught with freshly stolen car in north Harris County

Two teenagers are in custody after deputies say they were caught driving a freshly stolen vehicle in north Harris County.

It happened in the 19500 block of Aldine Westfield Road, where Sergeant Gonzalez with Constable Mark Herman’s Office pulled the car over during a traffic stop. Inside were two juveniles, just 14 and 15 years old.

Investigators later learned the vehicle had just been reported stolen.

Deputies also found what they’re calling “criminal instruments” inside, though they haven’t said exactly what those were. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.

As for the teens, they’re now facing charges and being held in juvenile custody.
