A Harris County resident grew suspicious after someone asked them to drop off a package at the jail, and it’s a good thing they did.
Instead of going through with it, the resident called for help. A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy came to pick up the brown paper sack and brought it back to the station, where a sergeant opened it up.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: HAZMAT officials investigating ‘suspicious package’ left in Klein
Inside was a clear plastic bag with items marked “hazardous materials.”
That raised enough concern to call the Klein Fire Department around 7:44 p.m. Friday.
Once firefighters got a look at it, they reached out to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s HazMat team, experts in dealing with questionable materials like this.
They ran several tests at the scene. All of them pointed to the same thing: the bag contained dangerous illegal drugs.
The area was cleared just before 9 p.m., and the package was handed over to be used as evidence.
