Family members told deputies they heard a gunshot and rushed outside to find the 36-year-old lying unresponsive in the walkway leading to the front door.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS crews.

Investigators say the man lived at the home with his parents and several other relatives. His parents were inside when the shooting happened.

A red vehicle was seen leaving the area right after the gunshot, though it’s still unclear if the victim was targeted or if the shooting was random.

A warrant is being requested to search the home for any evidence that might help with the investigation.

At this time, deputies say there’s no indication of a continued threat to the surrounding community.
