Houston FBI analyst possessed over 1,000 real and AI generated child porn images

A Houston FBI analyst arrested for child pornography had a disturbing cache of explicit images, including AI-generated images authorities said appeared nearly identical to real children.

Brian Vincent Rausch was taken into custody following a months-long investigation by Harris County Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit.

FIRST REPORT: Houston FBI analyst arrested for having child sex abuse videos

Rausch faces four felony charges in Harris County, including two counts of possession of child pornography involving 500 or more images of children under 10 and two counts of obscene wholesale promotion of material involving minors, according to court records. Investigators said his library of files also contained AI-generated images so realistic, they were nearly impossible to distinguish from actual child victims.

The investigation began earlier this year when authorities uncovered evidence that Rausch had downloaded and shared videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

When deputies executed a search warrant at Rausch’s home in Cypress, neighbors described a large law enforcement presence as agents removed the suspect’s wife and children from the residence.

“We could not imagine for the life of us what was going on,” neighbor Corey Guerrero said. “They’ve lived there for 11 years. We knew the husband worked for the FBI, but his car wasn’t there, so we couldn’t imagine what had happened.”

Rausch posted bond, with each charge carrying a $25,000 bond amount. His next court appearance is scheduled for today, May 30.

The arrest was part of a joint effort involving the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, Texas Department of Public Safety, and other agencies. Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable thanked those partners for their work on the case and reaffirmed his office’s commitment to protecting children from exploitation.
