Houston police release video of person of interest in fatal shooting

Houston police have shared surveillance footage of a person of interest they would like to question regarding a fatal shooting at an apartment complex nearly six months ago.

The incident happened at 8100 West Airport Boulevard around 10:10 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2024.

The victim was identified as 35-year-old Joshua Profit.

The person of interest is seen wearing a green hoodie, black pants, and Adidas sandals.

The suspected shooter was seen in a dark hoodie with a bandana covering their face.

When HPD patrol officers arrived at the scene, they found Profit lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots, and a man was seen fleeing the complex shortly after the shooting. The man is described as approximately 5′7″ to 5′10″ tall, with a thin build and dressed in all black.

HPD investigators are eager to speak with anyone who may have information about this case or the identity of the male person of interest.
