3 Texas cities named among top 20 summer travel destinations πŸ–οΈ

HOUSTON – Summer is right around the corner, and with travel plans underway, a recent survey might help you come up with some ideas if you’re not trying to go too far.

Researchers at WalletHub looked at 100 major cities. They narrowed their findings down to fun, budget-friendliness, as well as cheap flights, the number of attractions, and the average price of a two-person meal.

For Texas, WalletHub ranked three major cities among the top 20, two of which made the top 10.

Austin was ranked 5th, followed by Dallas at No. 10 and San Antonio coming in at No. 18. If you’re curious, Houston ranked 35th.

I mean, considering the humidity in Houston, sure, but still...

Orlando took the crown as the top summer destination, and actually matched Texas by having two cities make the top 10, with Miami in 9th place.

β€œWhen picking a summer travel destination, it’s easy to focus just on the types of activities you want to do or certain cities you’ve always wanted to see,” Chip Lupo, WalletHub Analyst, said in a statement. β€œHowever, choosing a destination that’s not only entertaining but also affordable is important when travel, dining, and activity costs have surged so much in recent years. It can also allow you to have a longer, more relaxing trip.”
