According to her campaign’s press release, Piney Point is known as one of the safest and prosperous parts of Houston.

Likewise, Dutt’s campaign is said to be focused on restoring accountability in county government, cutting wasteful spending, and keeping neighborhoods safe.

“Harris County is at a crossroads. Voters are tired of rising taxes, rising crime, and rising dysfunction,” said Mayor Dutt. “I’m running to restore common sense, protect our families, and get government back to doing the basics—safely, efficiently, and transparently.”

Dutt, her campaign said, first came to the U.S. as a child from Hong Kong, and grew up working in her family’s small business before building a “successful career in the private sector before entering public service.”

As mayor of Piney Point, where she also lives with her husband and three children, Dutt’s campaign describes her as a disciplined leader.

It goes on to say how Dutt has created strong results in improving infrastructure, supporting emergency responders, and keeping taxes low while balancing the budget.

“Harris County has incredible potential—but right now, it’s being wasted by politicians more focused on press conferences than public service,” Dutt said in her campaign’s press release. “It’s time for a judge who will lead with courage and competence. That’s the kind of judge I’ll be.”
