Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale and Gallery Furniture are giving back to local heroes this week with a special Memorial Day giveaway.
The giveaway will take place Friday, May 23, from 7 to 10 a.m. at Gallery Furniture, located at 6006 North Freeway in Houston.

The giveaway is on a first-come, first-served basis, and those hoping to claim a mattress will need to bring valid military or veteran identification.
To verify eligibility, bring a valid ID. Active-duty military can use a Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID. Veterans can show a Veteran Health ID, Veteran ID, a driver’s license with “Veteran” designation, or a DD Form 214 with photo ID. Other accepted IDs include a Military Retiree ID or VA Benefits Award Letter.
