RODEOHOUSTON® has announced Country Artist Cody Johnson is the headliner for the special concert-only performance on March 22, 2026.
The event will close out the rodeo season, running from March 2 to March 22. While the RODEOHOUSTON Super Series wraps up on March 21, guests can still enjoy activities on March 22, including the Carnival, Champion Wine Garden, AGVENTURE, and more inside NRG Center.

In 2022, George Strait, the “King of Country,” closed out the event with a memorable concert-only performance. Johnson will be the first entertainer to have a concert-only event at RODEOHOUSTON since Strait.
“Over the years, Cody has become a part of our beloved tradition – from captivating thousands year after year to recording RODEOHOUSTON’s official brand anthem,” said Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo president and CEO, Chris Boleman. “We are thrilled he is just as honored as we are to return in 2026.”
However, Cody isn’t a stranger to the rodeo. He has performed at RODEOHOUSTON five times, which includes 2017-2019, 2022, and 2023.
Cody expressed his excitement, saying, “Every performance at RODEOHOUSTON is a privilege and as a Rodeo man at heart, being asked to perform on a special night like this surpasses any of my wildest dreams,” Johnson said.
Individual tickets for his concert will go on sale on Thursday, August 21, so keep an eye on RODEOHOUSTON.com for updates!
The remaining entertainer lineup will be announced in early 2026!
