VIDEO: Multiple north Houston stores robbed by the same group, police looking for teens

The suspects, described as teenage boys in black clothing, have allegedly targeted several locations, such as general and cell phone stores, a bakery, and another fast-food restaurant. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

Houston police are looking for three teens believed to be behind a string of robberies across north Houston, including one at a Wendy’s on May 9.

Police say the trio walked into the restaurant on the 1100 block of Rankin around 8:45 p.m. that night.

At first, they pretended to be regular customers. Then they went behind the counter. One of them put his hand in a backpack and threatened to hurt an employee. The worker backed off, and the group grabbed cash from the register before running off.

Police say the same group may be connected to at least five other robberies carried out similarly.

Here’s a list of where and when those took place:

  • May 5 – General store on the 3400 block of Orlando
  • May 6 – Cell phone store on the 3300 block of Tidwell
  • May 6 – Cell phone store on the 2900 block of Tidwell
  • May 9 – Bakery on the 7400 block of Airline
  • May 9 – Fast-food restaurant on the 1900 block of N. Sam Houston Parkway

Descriptions of the suspects are general but consistent:

  • Suspect #1: Teen boy, wearing a black hoodie and tan shorts
  • Suspect #2: Teen boy, wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, and carrying a blue backpack
  • Suspect #3: Teen boy, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and black pants
