According to our sister station, KSAT, Ashley Pardo, of San Antonio, was arrested Monday on charges of aiding in the commission of terrorism. On Thursday, SAPD Chief William McManus said Pardo was “dismissive and unconcerned” with her son’s behavior and knowingly purchased the items for her son.

An arrest affidavit, KSAT reports, also revealed Pardo’s son expressed a desire to carry out “acts of mass violence” at Jeremiah Rhodes Middle School in SAISD.
On Monday, police said that the unidentified 13-year-old student showed up to campus “wearing a mask, camouflage jacket and tactical pants but left shortly after.”

Pardo has since posted bond, NBC reports, but has a pre-indictment hearing set for July 17. Under her bail conditions, Pardo must wear a GPS, stay in her home and submit to drug and alcohol testing weekly, and not have access to firearms.
