HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A small plane has reportedly crashed into a tree near the West Houston Airport.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a small aircraft operator reported his aircraft crashed into a tree and the aircraft caught fire in the 18000 block of Groschke Road.

We are told the pilot was able to get out of the aircraft and eventually made it to the airport. Deputies say he was uninjured.
There were no other people inside the plane.

Deputies have since located the aircraft which is badly burned up. Texas DPS is taking over the investigation.
