E. coli bacteria found in Humble water, city says

HUMBLE – The City of Humble warned residents after the drinking water tested positive for E. coli bacteria.

The city said the bacteria was found during a water test on Thursday, May 8.

It said the bacteria can pose a risk to infants, children and people with weakened immune systems.

As of now, the city has not issued a water boil notice. The drinking water in the system is currently testing within normal ranges and chlorination residuals.

They said the well that tested positive for E. coli has been isolated and they expect to resolve the problem in ten days.
