The weather is once again grounding flights at Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)—and now, passengers are facing a fresh wave of delays and a new ground stop.

The FAA issued another ground stop for IAH running through 6:30 p.m. due to ongoing thunderstorms. That means flights headed to IAH are being held at their departure points until conditions improve.

This comes on top of a ground delay program already in place since 2:00 p.m., which will remain active through 8:59 p.m. That advisory is causing average arrival delays of 74 minutes.

IAH has been impacted throughout the afternoon. Earlier ground stops affected flights from major hubs like Atlanta, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, and more. So far, thousands of travelers have experienced disruptions—and the evening isn’t looking any smoother.

Bottom line: If you’re flying in or out of IAH tonight, expect significant delays. Check with your airline before heading to the airport, and stay flexible.
