A man fled on foot after shooting and killing a family member in a southwest Houston neighborhood.
The incident was reported around 4:40 p.m. Sunday evening in the 11200 block of Whittingham Lane in southwest Houston.

Houston Police Department said the shooting appeared to be the culmination of a long-running family dispute. The shooter confronted the victim in the doorway of his home and shot him.
The victim’s wife was inside the home at the time of the murder, but she was unharmed.
After shooting the victim, the man reportedly took off on foot and drove away in a purple Maserati. He has not been captured at this time.
HPD has not released the identities of those involved, but sources close to the matter said there have been called regarding issues involving the shooter and the victim before.
