A traditional water cannon salute added to the excitement as the aircraft took off, providing a send-off for travelers heading to Japan.

This new service is expected to enhance tourism and business connections between the two regions, allowing Houston travelers to explore Tokyo’s culinary delights and bring back the best of Japanese cuisine.

Tuesday, at 5:00 PM in the City Hall Legacy Room, a proclamation ceremony took place. Houston Mayor John Whitmire presented a proclamation to ZIPAIR’s Chairman, Hiroo Iwakoshi, recognizing the significance of this new international route.
