The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is in full swing, bringing with it hundreds of businesses that make this annual event the world’s largest livestock show and rodeo. Among them is Asian Streetness, a local food truck that has been making waves with its creative fusion of Asian and fair-friendly flavors.
Back for its third year, Asian Streetness has continued to grow and gain recognition for its unique take on street food. KPRC 2′s Cathy Hernandez sat down with the owners to talk about their latest menu items and what makes their dishes a rodeo favorite.
Asian Streetness is bringing bold new flavors to this year’s rodeo, starting with their brisket fried rice—a fusion of traditional flavors and smoky barbecue. Their crab Rangoon eggrolls offer a crispy bite filled with imitation crab, cream cheese, and a blend of seasonings.
For something fun and unique, they’ve introduced the snack pack combo, which pairs a drink with a bowl of fries and Korean fried chicken glazed in sweet chili sauce. To satisfy a sweet tooth, their latest creation is the cheesecake eggroll, a crispy treat served with dipping sauces like condensed milk and pandan custard.
Co-owner Ann Dang shared her passion for blending flavors and her journey in the restaurant business.
“All these years that I have been in the restaurant business, this has been kind of like a passion of mine,” Dang said. “Also being born and raised as a Vietnamese American, it’s been fun for me to kind of collaborate and put different flavors together.”

Dang says the rodeo is three weeks of hard work, but it’s all worth it. Asian Streetness is located near NRG Arena at booth AR-603.
