Man arrested for using fake license plate he allegedly printed himself

If you’ve ever thought that a fellow driver’s license plate looked sketchy or strange, you’re not alone. Drivers will sometimes print altered or completely fake versions of license plates.

Someone suspected of doing that very thing was arrested in Houston last week.

On Feb. 18, a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s office conducted a traffic stop near the 11600 block of Bammel N. Houston Road. The driver, identified as Yusmany Carlos Remon Aguilar, was found to have tampered with a temporary tag.

During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Aguilar had intentionally altered the temporary tag by creating a fictitious document using his printer.

Aguilar was arrested and charged with tampering with a government document. He was booked into Harris County Jail and charged with tampering with a government document. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 11.
