THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A shooting at a popular bar in The Woodlands left three people injured early Sunday morning, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded just after midnight to reports of gunfire at Goose’s Acre. When they arrived, they found two men, ages 31 and 29, and a 27-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. Witnesses at the scene immediately provided medical aid before all three victims were transported to local hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.
Authorities say the suspected shooter, a 27-year-old man from Houston, was also taken to the hospital—but not for gunshot wounds. Instead, officials say bystanders at the bar detained the suspect before law enforcement arrived, and he sustained injuries in the process.
The suspect is now in custody, and investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting. Officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
“We want to reassure the public that we are fully committed to maintaining safety and holding the suspect accountable,” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Authorities are asking anyone with information, video footage, or details about the incident to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5876 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP.
