Deputies located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over, sparking a high-speed chase. The chase ended when the driver stopped the vehicle, exited and fled on foot.

Constable K9 Tejas Briones tracked down and caught the suspect, who was identified as the teen. Investigators later discovered he had a history of prior arrests for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

The teen was booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
