HOUSTON – You usually see him playing pranks on the field or making grand entrances in stadiums, but these days the Houston Texans mascot TORO is getting attention for something radically different: a children’s book.

For Andrew Johnson, the man behind TORO, being a mascot is a dream come true, but he could not be prouder of the book, which took three years to put together and was completely supported by the Texans’ organization.

I talked to the man behind the bull about stepping out of costume and what inspired him to become a mascot in the first place. See the video above for more.

The book is available in the Texans store at the NRG Stadium and online, by clicking here.
