HOUSTON – A Huffman family woke up to the sound of gunfire outside their home and bullets piercing their walls.

Just after 2 a.m. last Friday, security cameras captured the moment at least two gunmen started shooting on Third Street off 1960.
Shortly after, cameras at Nick Salyers home recorded him running outside.
His home, truck, and SUV were all shot up.
“I live here with my mother and fiancé,” Salyers told KPRC 2′s Gage Goulding. “All [of] this was over a mistaken address.”

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded and opened an investigation.

In the security camera video from the neighborhood, you can see a light-colored pickup truck speed away shortly after the shooting.
“We haven’t been able to sleep,’ said Salyers. “We are just glad nobody got shot because the cops pick up, I think, 17 bullet casings.”
