HCSO: Man killed after driving into crash investigation in East Harris County

HOUSTON – A man was killed after driving into a deadly crash investigation in East Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

It happened on the East Freeway near Sheldon Road just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said a man driving a car drove through the investigation and crashed into a tow truck and a patrol car.

The driver died at the scene.

Two tow truck drivers were taken to the hospital and were in good condition.

A deputy suffered minor cuts as he was rescuing the driver from the car.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
