Winter preparations and weather monitoring

The company is also setting up staging sites across the region to quickly deploy crews in case of power disruptions.

“We are taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that our teams are ready to respond to any issues as soon as they arise,” said Darin Carroll, Senior Vice President of CenterPoint Energy’s Electric Business. “We urge customers to stay alert and have a plan in place to stay warm and safe through this winter storm.”

CenterPoint Energy says they have been closely monitoring weather patterns and preparing its infrastructure for the cold snap. In addition to pre-positioning resources and crews, the company has also winterized equipment to ensure that it can withstand the freezing temperatures expected to hit the area.
