Man killed after being hit by train off Yale Street near The Heights

HOUSTON – A man is dead after being hit by a train near The Heights in Houston.

Houston Police said it happened near the intersection of Yale Street and Koehler Street.

Police received the call at 5:43 p.m.

Authorities say the man, believed to be homeless, was in his 50s.

Police say the man had apparently been waiting in between two trains going in opposite directions when he was hit.
