‘I lost my home’: Houston rapper Fat Tony’s house burns down during California wildfires

Houston rapper Fat Tony, whose given name is Anthony Obi, lost his home in Altadena, California, to the wildfires currently sweeping southern California.

According to the Associated Press, the Eaton Fire, north of Pasadena, has burned over 16.6 square miles, destroying homes in its path, including every house on Tony’s street.

He took to his Instagram story stating “My house burned down but i am safe.”

Tony created a GoFundMe to raise money as he shared that he didn’t have renter’s insurance.

Through his ‘I lost my home today’ GoFundMe campaign, Tony’s collecting funds, with any extra donations going to the Pasadena Humane Society. So far, the campaign has raised over $36,000, far surpassing his initial goal of $20,000.
