For about 24 hours, FBI Houston, along with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, were at a property in northwest Harris County where Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the driver accused of carrying out the deadly attack, claimed residency.
A perimeter was also established near the intersection of Hugh Road and Crescent Peak Drive and people were asked to avoid the area.
The scene cleared just before 8 a.m. Thursday, with FBI Houston took to X that their court-authorized search was concluded and said in part there were “no threats to residents in that area.”

KPRC 2 witnessed a SWAT team showing up at the property Wednesday afternoon when law enforcement crews were first staged and at least four kids and five adults were seen being brought out of a house at a neighboring property.
Not long afterward, a man was seen coming out of a house with his hands raised as officers had their guns drawn. He appears to have been taken into custody.
