A series of tornadoes tore across Southeast Texas on Saturday, with the worst destruction seen in Brazoria County, where an EF-2 tornado claimed one life and injured several others.

Brazoria County : A devastating EF-2 tornado touched down near County Road 172, cutting an 8.8-mile path through the Hillcrest area. The most significant damage occurred at Walt Disney Elementary School. Tragically, the tornado claimed one life and left several others injured.
Galveston County: An EF-1 tornado briefly touched down east of Dickinson High School, with a path only 250 yards long. While short-lived, the storm caused significant roof damage to several homes.
Montgomery County: The Conroe area saw multiple tornadoes, including an EF-3 storm that hit Porter Heights, leaving a swath of severe damage. Additional reports of EF-2 tornadoes across the county revealed destroyed homes and widespread tree damage.
Katy: A powerful tornado ripped through the Windward community in North Katy on December 28, 2024, tearing roofs off homes and flipping vehicles.
Chambers County: An EF-3 tornado struck along Highway 124, with EF-2 damage also recorded near Smith Point and along the Chambers-Jefferson County line.
